Background
Mohamed is a partner in the advisory practice at Nexia Egypt. Mohamed has over 19 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) services, core assurance services, and Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) services. Mohamed has developed extensive knowledge of financial management, risks mitigation, optimizing costs, and continual business improvement concepts focusing on standards, governance, compliance, and risk management. Prior to joining Nexia Egypt, Mohamed has over 16 years of experience working as at KPMG Egypt from senior level to manger level in a multiple leadership positions i.e. Business Performance Services (BPS), External Audit, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance, and Training & Restructuring Services.
Professional and Industry Experience
Mohamed possesses vast experience in developing, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures manuals. He has worked with numerous companies in various sectors to identify and implement business improvement strategies.
In his previous roles, Mohammed conducted internal audits engagements across multiple departments including Accounting & Finance, Investment, Human Resources, procurement, sales, production, and Inventory. His responsibilities included conducting interviews with department heads, creating risk matrices, executing test controls, preparing reports on observations and recommendations, and discussing findings with department heads.
Mohamed actively participated in large-scale projects aimed at assisting clients with organizational design, strategic HR management, and reviewing HR policies and procedures. He also had engagements related to establishing governance frameworks, such as board of directors’ charters, committees’ charters, authority matrices, and other governance guidelines.
Throughout his career, Mohammed has gained experience in various sectors including food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical, feed and poultry, financial & banking, energy and natural resources, industrial markets, real estate, automotive, consumer markets, technology and communications, small and medium-sized enterprises, government, public sector, and educational institutions.
